The Lagos State University (LASU) has officially activated its online admission screening (Post-UTME) portal for the 2025/2026 academic session. The portal, which opened on June 30, 2025, is now live for eligible candidates, including UTME, Direct Entry, JUPEB, and Pre-Degree applicants aiming to secure admission into LASU’s prestigious undergraduate programs

✅ Who Can Apply

To participate in the Post‑UTME/DE screening, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. First‑choice institution: LASU must have been selected during your 2025 JAMB UTME/DE registration
  2. Minimum JAMB score: At least 195 marks in UTME
  3. Age requirement: You must be at least 16 years old by October 1, 2025
  4. O’Level results: Minimum of five credit passes (including English & Maths) in not more than two sittings. Specific courses demand more:
    • Medicine & Dentistry: credits in a single sitting only.
    • Engineering: six credits, including Physics & Chemistry. For Aeronautic Engineering, Further Mathematics is required
  5. Direct Entry applicants: Must possess relevant qualifications (ND/HND, NCE, JUPEB) and upload results where necessary
  6. Indigeneship check: Lagos State candidates must be verified by LASU’s Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC)

💻 Step-by-Step Registration Guide

  1. Go to LASU’s official portal (e.g., lasu.edu.ng/admissionscreening)
  2. Navigate: Student → New Applicants → UTME/DE Screening
  3. Log in with your JAMB registration number and surname
  4. Click Make Payment (Admission Screening) — fee is ₦2,000 (plus bank charges) via Remita or similar
  5. Return to the portal, enter your Transaction ID, then complete the application form:
    • Bio-data, UTME score slip, O’Level uploads
    • DE applicants upload ND/HND/JUPEB certificates
    • Ensure O’Level is also uploaded to JAMB CAPS
  6. Preview all entries, tick “I certify”, and submit
  7. Download and print your screening report/confirmation slip

📝 Screening & Scoring Methodology

  • Automated point-based system using your UTME score and O’Level grades from your five best relevant subjects — aligned with JAMB subject combinations
  • For Engineering, special attention to six-credit requirement; Medicine/Dentistry strictly single-sitting credit
