
The Lagos State University (LASU) has announced the commencement of its 2025/2026 Indigeneship Verification Exercise (IIVC) for all candidates of Lagos State origin who selected LASU as their first-choice institution in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
According to the university, only candidates who scored 195 and above in the 2025 UTME are qualified to register and participate in this crucial screening exercise.
LASU Indigeneship Verification Exercise 2025 Registration Date
The registration portal will open on Monday, 26th May 2025 and close on Thursday, 19th June 2025.
The screening interview for all qualified candidates will commence on the same day as the registration, i.e. Monday, 26th May 2025.
Participation in the Indigeneship Verification Exercise does not automatically guarantee admission into Lagos State University.
Candidates must still meet all other admission requirements.

LASU IIVC Screening Schedule 2025
The verification exercise will take place in four phases:
- Phase 1: Monday, 26th May – Thursday, 29th May 2025
- Phase 2: Monday, 2nd June – Thursday, 5th June 2025
- Phase 3: Monday, 9th June – Thursday, 12th June 2025
- Phase 4: Monday, 16th June – Thursday, 19th June 2025

- Visit the official LASU portal: www.lasu.edu.ng/iive/
- Make online payment directly to the Lagos State University account using the platform provided.
- Follow the instructions carefully and complete the application form.

Who is Eligible for LASU Announces 2025/2026 Indigene Admission Verification?
- Only candidates who are indigenes of Lagos State and have chosen LASU as their first-choice university in the 2025 UTME.
- Candidates must have scored at least 195 in the 2025 UTME.
- Direct Entry candidates of Lagos origin are also required to undergo the IIVC before they can be considered for admission.
- Candidates from 2023/2024 or 2024/2025 sessions who were not offered admission must simply revalidate their previous clearance certificates online, with payment.
