The Director General of NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, has announced a new monthly allowance for Corps members.

From March 2025, all Corps members will receive ₦77,000 as their allowance.

He said the NYSC and the Federal Government are committed to the welfare of Corps members.

The Director General made this announcement on Thursday during his visit to NYSC Zonal Offices in Wuse and Garki, Abuja.

He thanked Corps members for their selfless service and advised them to stay calm, focused, and disciplined.

Nafiu praised the founders of NYSC and encouraged everyone to support the Scheme.

He described NYSC as a great initiative that helps young graduates understand different cultures across Nigeria.

He assured Corps members that NYSC would continue to promote patriotism, discipline, good morals, leadership, and teamwork.

“From March, you will receive ₦77,000 as your monthly allowance,” he said.

He also assured them that NYSC keeps proper records and their payments would not be delayed.

A Corps member, Zaka Deborah Alheri, thanked the Director General for ensuring the payment of the increased allowance.
